This is a two-perspective interior collage of the model (viewed from left to right). During a lecture in the summer program, I was drawn to René Magritte’s Big Apple and his other paintings for his unsettling trademark of being thought-provoking. I also had a concurring summer reading assignment for George Orwell’s novel 1984, and centered my collage on my understanding of this perturbing dystopia.

The dullness of this world was fueled by its absence of vibrance in life. Citizens’ psyches were trapped in terror and it didn't matter who it was, the effects were indiscriminate. René Magritte’s man in a bowler hat represented anonymity among the citizens of Oceania. The proles were stuck in a sufferable reality and that freedom (seen only on the right) is an unattainable and fantastical mirage.
The images below are process steps that taught me how to use Rhino and the Adobe Suites together as well as terms such as obliques, isometric perspectives, elevations, and so on.
